Today’s productions are driven by increasing variants, uncertainty of variants’ distribution as well volume and shorter innovation cycles.A matrix manufacturing system aims to tackle these challenges. This new concept consists independent flexibly linked process modules, which have no uniform cycle time fixed product order sequence in the system.However, challenges arise from this setup. The changes structure an impact on logistics. In research, there only a few investigations regarding consequences logistics, especially material supply. Common innovative supply strategies used without knowing their suitability system. applicability kanban, single or kitting basket differs usage line assembly. A systematic derivation context is missing.The paper fills gap research outlined field. Firstly, characteristics through occur investigated.
